A Bit About Me

Amy Kingsbury
A06 Sports Therapy-Student Sports Therapist
I am currently studying Sports Therapy at the University of Hertfordshire. I love helping people feel more comfortable and confident in their bodies, whether they’re recovering from training, dealing with everyday stress, or just needing a bit of time to reset. Sport has always been a huge part of my life. I’ve been playing netball for over 10 years and currently coach both junior and senior teams as well as captain my own team at my local club, so I understand first-hand how important it is to keep your body feeling and performing at its best (and how frustrating it can be when it’s not!) Alongside this, I’m actively involved in charity work and have raised £1,442 for the British Heart Foundation by organising my league’s start-of-season tournament. Supporting causes like the Stroke Association is also very close to my heart, and I’m always looking for ways to give back. For the 2026/27 season, I will be undertaking a sandwich year placement within football, where I’ll gain hands-on experience working closely with athletes and supporting performance at a higher level. Whether you’re an athlete or just looking to feel better day-to-day, my aim is simple... to help you move better, recover faster, and leave feeling better than ever.
HOW WILL SPORTS MASSAGE HELP YOU?
Reduces muscle tightness
Sports massage targets specific areas of tension, helping to release tight muscles and improve overall movement quality.
Improves recovery
By increasing circulation and promoting tissue repair, sports massage can help reduce post-exercise soreness and get you back to training quicker.
Improves Flexibility & Mobility
Regular treatment helps maintain muscle length and joint mobility, allowing for better performance and reduced restriction in movement.
Reduces injury risk
Identifying and treating areas of tightness or imbalance early can reduce the risk of strains and overuse injuries.
Enhances performance
When muscles are functioning optimally, you’re able to move more efficiently, generate more power, and perform at your best.
Reduces Stress & Promotes Relaxation
Sports massage doesn’t just benefit the body! it can also help lower stress levels, reduce mental tension, and leave you feeling more relaxed and focused.
